Important to note that 92-98% of sexual assault allegations are true.

That is absolutely not what that says. That report only indicates that 2-8% are false. For the other 92-98%, there are two categories they are placed in, either true or inconclusive. That report doesn't delve into those numbers at all. Given how difficult charges like that are to successfully prosecute I wouldn't be surprised if a large percentage is inconclusive. That doesn't mean it's true or false and attempting to draw a conclusion one way or the other with that data is wrong.

I think that's a great point and I wasn't intending to misrepresent the data.

The point that I was trying to make is that it is relatively rare for false accusations to be levied and, in difficult situations where truth is difficult to ascertain, we should give voice to the potential victim.

How do you know it’s relatively rare when the data doesn’t give any answer to that.

Also while every victim should have a voice, we should never assume guilt by the other party either. It’s a fundamental cornerstone of modern society.
