Not nearly on the same level but COVID completely changed my vocal range and it hasn't come back. I sing much lower and can't do falsetto at all anymore
What a weird virus. It seems like everything about it is so random.
Like when I had it, instead of loosing my taste, everything was super salty and bitter. My doctor friend said he had a patient that had that same symptom and joked that he kept telling his wife sheβs cooking the food and other too much salt before they realized he had Covid.
That IS weird.
The strangest experience for me was that, despite having respiratory issues my whole life (RSV as an infant), it didn't affect my lungs at all. The muscles in my neck and shoulders were basically paralyzed for two weeks and I couldn't turn my head....but 0 breathing issues.
