Your selfish "protest" is doing nothing but hurting a niche community. If YOU don't like reddit then YOU should stop using it. Corpos will always make greedy decisions. So the API crap was nothing surprising. Leagueoflinux is not the mods subreddit, its the community's. Therefore, you and the mods have no right to rob the community of what's ours. Stop hurting others for your opinion.
Please tell me why is it selfish?
That's why we are trying to show a better path for the people on reddit. Why to stick with shit corp practices when you can be free of those shackles?
It isn't your subreddit, it's Reddit's subreddit and they stated this very clearly. If a corporation can afford to be as greedy as Reddit is, there must be clearly something wrong with their customers when the still do business with them...
I could somewhat understand it if we would be talking about essential goods, but certainly not a forum conglomeration.
Back then I quit Reddit after deleting every single post and comment that I every made on both of my accounts. Unfortunately most people just have no backbone and just give up at the slightest inconvenience. Just imagine the one abusing you isn't some random forum conglomertaion, but something actually important in your life.
Make a new sub reddit then. This community board and the website work perfectly fine to distribute information.
