Boss: I'm terrible with emails. Send me a message on teams when you send an email

Me: sends msg on teams to let boss know I've emailed

Boss: "why are you following up so quickly after sending an email? 🙂"

The smiley makes me crawl up the wall and also what do you want me to do boss????

Sounds like your boss needs to grow up and stop treating you like a butler. It’s a basic work expectation to manage your own emails.
