It's a step in the right direction for sure, and hopefully the shorter wheelbase will help with manoeuvrability somewhat. Width going from 2m to 1.9m I'm not sure will be hugely impactful (and weren't the cars even wider in the 80s?). I'm still hesitant to be fully hopeful since the weight reduction will reportedly be minimal compared to current regs, but I'm cautiously optimistic.

I'm guessing more innovation in battery technology is necessary to reduce weight further so maybe the next new regs after '26 if we're lucky?
