Morning, oh cleaning genius of Melbourne, @CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone, what's your guaranteed go to for shower cleaning? Both the glass and the supposed to be white shower...

Gumption mate. Wet the shower. Rub the shower down with the Gumption paste everywhere, taps, tiles, grout, shower screen. Let it sit for minutes. Rub it in again with a wet sponge and rinse it all off. Get the kids involved. It's non toxic. You can get it from Woolies, Coles, bunnings.

You reckon Shower Power stuff any good?

[–] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 2 points 1 year ago

Um I didn't really like it. It just doesn't have the oomph that paste has. Don't underestimate good old dishwashing liquid.

[–] calhoon2005@aussie.zone 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Right on. I'll get on it, thanks

[–] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

No worries. If you've got a lot of grout and crevices get a grout brush too.

Worked great on the glass thanks, but turns the mould in the corners is beneath/in the sealant... I'll need something stronger I think.

[–] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Sorry buddy I'm not sure what you mean. If sealant is mouldy then nothing will help that.

[–] calhoon2005@aussie.zone 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yeah, the sealant is mouldy. There was a top layer of dark scum which came off, but then the full extent of the problem was revealed....

[–] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

There's nothing you can do. The sealant needs to be replaced.

[–] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 2 points 1 year ago

Yeah. Just leave it. If mushrooms start growing out of it then consider replacing. Until then it's fine.

50:50 cleaning vinegar and dawn. Spray on, scrub in everywhere, give a few mins, rinse off.

[–] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

You can't buy Dawn at the supermarket. Fairy is the equivalent.

I get the giant bottles at USA foods. $35 but they last me a year, and it's the base of all our cleaning products and gets used to clean the litterboxxen

[–] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yeah I'd buy if I could. I wonder if Costco has it? I'll have to find out.

[–] Taleya@aussie.zone 2 points 1 year ago

Which costco? Usa fuds is in Moorabbin
