I don't think this news will come as a shock to anyone since The Bear is one of the best TV shows to come out in years but I'm happy to hear it's been renewed all the same.
I was there for the top notch acting, fascinating characters, gorgeous cinematography, and delicious looking food.
There's an incredibly frantic episode that takes place in one take. It's a masterpiece and I breathed a sigh of relief when it ended.
I liken it to watching horror movies. Some people appreciate feeling different emotions during their escapism.
Holy crap, I just watched that and didn't even notice it was one take! No wonder I was panicked after! I've got to watch it again!
I love that we haven't said anything about the episode besides that it was frantic and we know exactly which episode it was.
The writing is brilliant. The acting is pretty damned good as well
There’s a lot of that in season 1. It’s a fairly accurate portrayal of small restaurant culture.
Season 2 is calmer, more focused on the beauty of hospitality. The food, the space, the process of creating recipes and preparing the food in the kitchen.
Every single episode of season 2 was “look at how we are able to create beauty and joy amidst the chaos”. How attention to detail and deeply caring about the product can create an experience for the guest.
Yeah, I get where you're coming from. I am a fan of the series but I can't explain why I enjoy watching shows or movies that make me feel anxious and stressed out. I guess it feels more "real" watching flawed characters make flawed decisions?
