Just 4 hours after winning the nomination, a roll-call vote for support left him 24 votes shy of the speakership, and Trump posted on social media in opposition of Emmer's bid. The results of the roll-call vote which ultimately caused Emmer to realize he had no path to 217 is below.

Jesus fucking Christ guys, just change the secret party vote format to ranked choice and then get your shit together so all the Republicans will elect one doofus.
