Is there any solution here that doesn't suck? Sexual abuse sucks, removing indigenous children from their family sucks too. I can't see the harm in at least getting some statistics/basic facts on the issue as a starting point.
The problem is we already know what the problem is but a Royal Commission will just stall any progress for a few years only for whatever government is in power to consider the recommendations or take them to the next election. It's just a political move
