Released at the height of the 2000s zombie craze, Max Brooks’ 2006 novel “World War Z” treated itself almost like a historical document. Modeled after a 1984 WWII book “The Good War: An Oral History of World War Two”, it fascinated readers and quickly became a bestseller; gaining even more notoriety than Brooks’ 2003 satirical book “The Zombie Survival Guide”.

I still need to pick up the book and read it. I've had it in my kindle library for a few years now.
