To improve the birth rate maybe make housing affordable, not bring more people in who will realize how expensive it is to have kids and then not have kids either.

Agreed, but we need people, if we're not making any then we need to import them. Idk about you but my province has an aging problem.

Who says we need people? We can't even find homes and jobs for the people that are here already.
