How come they haven't come up with something like a reverse exo-skeleton where the joints resist your movement and simulate gravity. I guess your organs are still free floating but it's better than nothing.

Another idea would be to wear a magnetic full body suit of some kind and have the floor pull you down. I guess that would use a LOT of energy.

They do extensive resistance based exercises slready. I think such a suit would impede everyday function too much.

Large magnets would really mess with the experiments they run on board and the strength of magnetic pull varies far too much over small distances to work well.

Having a spun habitat and recreation area really does seem like the simplest remediation.
