Question for HiveMind: what’s an appropriate amount of cash to give newlyweds for a gift?

Details:

-a very good family friend -we are travelling interstate to be there

$250 if I can drive there.

Depends on how good the wedding is is my rule of thumb. But at least 100 per person. More if they rock as friends. I try to cover the cost of having me there.

This will be our guide. Thank you TB!
