Daylight Savings is so contentious. My partner is from Perth, where they trialled it for 3 years before reverting, and he is so vehemently against it it makes me cackle.

I don't mind it personally; I like the extra light in the evening and as an early riser it's usually dark when I get up so that doesn't bother me. But I wish they wouldn't do it the weekend the kids go back to school. "Yay here ya go, enjoy that extra daylight not during the holidays! Oh, you want to spend more holiday time with your kids in the sun? Bwahaha! Fool!"

I like it. Counting down to midnight on New Years Eve seems ridiculous though.

I'm enjoying it this year, as so far touch wood the cats are waking an hour later. Fingers crossed that continues!
