Can someone explain to me how kbins reputation system works? (kbin.social)

Because currently, it seems like the only thing it's recording are downvotes. Meanwhile upvotes are completely ignored, leading to pretty much every profile I see having a negative reputation.

Also, I have a very fragile ego and my -6 reputation hurts a bit.

Yeah I annoyed some shitlibs defending lemmy.ml and I can’t even create an account or read most posts there. I basically said we Americans are as propagandized probably as much as Red-leaning countries’ citizens.
