They were always on position of defending the empire, just as the mainstream radicalize to the right, they are tailing it as socialchauvinists always did and are saying that openly.

they lied about who they are and fooled a bunch of people who aren't all idiots... they are mostly normal people who went right as soon as they hit office for some reason
