Calculated feel good shit. Their reddit account is silent on electricity price rises, continued under resourcing of hospitals and the rushed anti-protest penalties.
Pets, like children or any other dependent are a big responsibility. It is a shame rental affordability, cost of living and in particular utility bills are outstripping wage growth and welfare payments. Feeding a pet properly and paying for the inevitable veterinary bills can be difficult and I am sure some pet owners are forced to make tough decisions. The previous Labor government made a difference for animal welfare by amending the dog and cat management to enforce microchipping, desexing and registration of breeders.
Yeah of course. To me, the news was also that they actually posted it direct to Reddit. I also just posted a thing about power prices, but not as it relates to any politics.
Actually, I would like to add, as is stated in this post, they are also limiting bonds. I knew about this prior, because working adjacent the real estate industry, it was actually big news. Of course their clients want to get as much bond as they can, and now the vast majority of rentals won't be able to take as much now.
Thanks for the cross post. I have been visiting reddit every few days to delete more comment history and checking updates to Adelaide and a few other subs while I am there. It seems more of my history is becoming available to delete as subs are coming out of private.
I checked the Adelaide reddit while I was there and it feels like it has increased in activity since the api protests. Or perhaps staying away and the lack of activity here was making it feel that way. Most of it is shit as usual but I appreciate having some of the content available here as I will likely be off reddit properly at the end of the month.
Yeah I used to be a Lurker, but since coming here, I've been making a point to contribute more.
Also a lurker and occasional long winded commentator on niche topics now mostly deleted. On any platform only a small number of people post content and an even smaller percentage of those post OC. It is an important role in building an online community. The post is newsworthy and belongs here regardless of my opinion.
Fundamentally I do agree with your original comment, was just commenting because I essentially have nothing to delete from Reddit lol.
I'm more of a commenter. I think I've made a grand total of 2 or 3 new Reddit posts. But lots and lots of comments. :D
