First aid course is now done! It wasn't as difficult as I was expecting, and the instructor dude was pretty cool and had a good vibe
But please don't die, because like, they didn't teach me how to CPR through a screen!
In reality if you ever are in a situation where CPR is needed (or anything else really serious) you will be calling 000 and they will guide you through what you have to do. I think it's a good idea to do a hands on course if you can so it is something you are more familiar with, but you will usually have support available if you need it (barring occassional events like thunderstorm asthma and covid, anyway).
Of course, raven. The CPR thing was a joke. It was also included in the course I did (including a practice on dummies)
I don't mind the CPR bit it's the eye injuries that bother me.
We didn't really cover eye injuries much. Main takeaway of what we did talk about was just "don't fucking touch it, leave it to the doctors"
Yep. That's the one.
@Baku @CEOofmyhouse56 Yeah I did it last year and they basically said leave it to the paramedics and the docos
And that suits me just fine... I can handle most gory scenes in movies, but if it involves eyes, I have to skip it. If the medics and docs are happy to handle it, I am more than happy to leave it to them
