Wouldn't be surprised if this guy gets taken around the corner just for being confused, it happened in the Soviet union all the time. How the hell are people supposed to keep up with a million completely contradictory lies? They're punishing their own cronies for pushing the narratives THEY told them to push.
It's not a bug, it's a feature.
At this point, if you want to know about it, it is well documented. Have you heard of firehose of misinformation?
