Patch on a Friday? So much for caring about their workers.
To everyone giving this person crap:
It's common knowledge in software dev that you never deploy on a Friday.
Reason for that is that any subsequent issues and critical fixes have to be worked on over the weekend.
And it's a bit of a superstitious thing too at this point.
Lighten up.
I am. ;p
You know, development teams do sometimes decide these things as a group, and individuals do sometimes prefer free on weekdays. It's a bit ridiculous to condemn Larian just because they release one of their patches on a Friday.
Ah yes, because anyone who works on a Friday is automatically being taken advantage of by their company.
Sure, pushing a release out on a Friday is a poor idea if your workforce isn't equipped to fix it if it ends up breaking things. Everyone in the industry knows that. But implying that they suddenly don't care about their workers because they dared to push on a Friday is pretty moronic.
I suppose the company I work for doesn't care about me either because I'm required to work weekdays.
