Tons of parking in sweden is open air, and we do fine with charging.
If itโs -20c the car will get just enough of a charge to offset the battery discharging to keep it warm. Lots of places are limited to 120v outlets.

Why are you keeping the car on while it's charging?
Evs have to discharge to keep the battery warm, it canโt freeze. Itโs a default feature on ANY EV.
Yes, but managing the temperature of the battery takes much less than 2.4 kW.
