Welcome to our virtual third place, The Café.

Come on in and make a new human connection over a cup of coffee (or Teh Tarik). This is a casual community, do whatever you want, share your oyen pics, your frustrations, and even organize a weekend picnic with the community. The world is your oyster.

Rules are simple, be kind and civil with each other. As with any other café, rude patrons will be kicked out.

It's the dreaded haze indeed, but not to the point that we have to shut schools and offices. For now at least.

It is only the beginning, I think news have reported that more than a dozen of areas in south Kalimantan and south Sumatra having been identified as hotspots responsible for the smog, and will continue to ravage the provinces.

And if combines with low rainfalls, it is not looking good.

Another good news other than the rain is that we're entering the inter-monsoon season, where the main wind direction is no longer southwest. That may help keep the haze away from Malaysia and Singapore.
