Just when you thought extreme right wing rhetoric couldn't get any lower .... they start targeting children at their schools to hold their protests

======

“The biggest names in the Canadian far-right have pivoted to this issue,” Canadian Anti-Hate Network Deputy Director Elizabeth Simons told PressProgress.

“Many of the networks and influencers involved in the anti-2SLGBTQ+ hate targeted at school boards and drag events got their start, or at least their notoriety, during the Freedom Convoy and the COVID conspiracy theory movement.”

Large, well-funded organizations

Never heard of these orgs but this sound like they're funded by foreign entities trying to destabilize our democracy. All theoretical of course.

Shouldn't the government prevent this kind of funding? Or at least investigate it? This seems unlikely that they would be funded locally.

You don't have to look outside the country in order to find organizations, institutions and corporations that want to break down democracy.

Big business, corporations and the wealthy elite are all about conservative ideals, wealth at all costs, fighting social supports, and creating a supposed world of the 'strongest surviving better than the weakest'.

What they actually support is fascists ideas that are undemocratic because people's complaints and needs just get in the way of ever increasing profits, and no one ever addresses the fact that their wealth and control is based on the exploitation of the poor.

Uncontrolled and infinite wealth is created through undemocratic means ... and to me, that is the root of where all this influence comes from.
