Its the show thats so bad its good. Who has the rest of the tapes and how can they be coaxed into release?

Nah, they definitely filmed a first season with multiple more episodes.

I believe there are a few tiny tiny snippets of subsequent eps but very bite-size and unsatisfying

Yeah I actually did some research and I stand corrected!

I don't know how far they would have been able to pull the joke of 'satire of lazy sitcoms by using incredibly poor taste' for a full 8 eps but I wouldn't hold your breath for an official release.

They backed out of giving Hardwicke House a full release in DVD (the episode with Rik Mayall and Ade Edmondson) at the last minute and that was entirely non controversial.

Ah, scheiße! Really hope whoever was entrusted with the cuts does the right thing and releases, if even only after they pass. The argument against releasing is so flimsy and ridiculous, and nobody has a problem with dark or black comedies anywhere or with anyone else.
