My first watchthrough, I was a little bummed that they wouldn't be flying around the galaxy encountering strange planets like in previous series, but then I quickly started to appreciate the "slice of life" feel of the show taking place in a fixed position.
Plus, they're like a space truck stop, so they can still have whatever characters they want stop by for an episode or two. It's great.
