Yes. We have a waited blanket. I love it, but it caused my partner joint pain. We compromise with the heaviest comforter we can find in the winter.

In the summer, I'll sometimes stack a few pillows on myself (we have a bunch) to get some weight on me, while still allowing some airflow.

It’s actually much more comfortable for two people in one bed to have separate blankets. :) might be worth trying two twin blankets. Then your partner could have what they prefer and you could have weighted.

My wife and I started sleeping with separate blankets a while ago. I like to sleep with 2 heavy comforters even in the summer but my wife gets hot while she sleeps. A lot of the times we end up sharing a single blanket by morning but I don't think I could fall asleep like that.

Also I just realized while typing this that I do like weight on my body!

I am continuously surprised that some people sleep under a single blanket. This is not a custom where I'm from. I wouldn't be able to relax!
