This is the best summary I could come up with:

The Hollywood Reporter can exclusively reveal the first stills from Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2, the follow-up to the micro-budget British slasher that went viral last year for its childhood-bludgeoning premise, became one of the most talked about films of 2023 and would earn $5.2 million in the global box office after costing under $100,000 to make.

Currently in production, the sequel comes with a bigger budget, more kills and even an Olivier Award-winning, BAFTA-nominated star in the form of Simon Callow (Four Weddings and a Funeral), who has joined the cast.

Alongside Callow, Tallulah Evans has joined the cast and will lead the film, starring alongside Scott Chambers (Doctor Jekyll, Malpractice) as Christopher Robin, Ryan Olivia (Seasoning House) as Winnie-the-Pooh, and Peter DeSouza-Feighoney (The Pope’s Exorcist) as Young Winnie-the-Pooh.

“After speaking with Rhys and hearing his vision — his desire to push boundaries in terms of production scope, and to craft a really unique, twisty plot that also gave significant depth to the characters — I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of,” said Leslie, who was the writer/producer of 2018 Sundance Midnight selection Summer of 84 and the co-writer/director of upcoming supernatural horror Don’t Open the Door.

Alongside Leslie, also joining behind the camera on the slasher sequel is Shaune Harrison (World War Z, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones) who serves as head of creature and gore designer, and Paula Anne Booker who will oversee SFX.

I truly think people will really dig what we are creating,” said producer Scott Jeffrey, who himself is directing an upcoming low-budget slasher adaptation of Bambi, part of an entire universe of X-rated versions of beloved childhood stories.
