I hope we won't have forgotten about this extreme summer by november, when the COP happens...

Pity COPs are always late autumn - they don't have to be - I remember COP2 in July, COP6b in June, and iirc COP1 was April, people/systems just drift later. Imagine such discussions under open skies? Looking on the bright side of original topic - bumper year for grapes and pumpkins here.
