RIF was my daily driver for years! I was so sad when this all went down. But it's for the best, lemmy, Mastodon, and peertube is really cool to investigate and explore.

I need to checkout peertube. I keep seeing people mentioning it. Is there a good Android app for it?

I use newpipe. There are others but newpipe lets you subscribe to multiple servers not just peertube instances.
