As soon as I saw it was always online, I decided to pass. It looked fun, but I just hate "live" games so much.
I agree with you, but unfortunately that's the reality today. Having been raised playing DII with my dad, Diablo is too big of a franchise for me to skip because of live services.
I completely respect that though. I hope one day live services will be gone or optional. But that's not very likely...
I felt the same way about Halo for a long time. It took 2 bad games before I just didn't bother with the next one.
