Mabuhay at maligayang pag-alis sa Lemmy! ✈️

An abandoned community for the Philippines and all things Filipino! 🇵🇭

Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.

Tonight's Ask PHLemmy: How are single income households surviving in this economy?

Di ko rin alam.

I'm sending home a specific amount monthly. It used to be a comfortable amount for their monthly expenses, but it's starting to get into the not-enough territory and I'm concerned.

I just bought a cup of rice sa Lawson kanina. 17Php na siya from 15Php before. That's a 13% price hike. You'll be lucky to get a 7% yearly pay raise if you're not job hopping.

I guess we're nearing the 20Php rice that we were promised. Per cup daw pala and not per kilo.
