To her fans, Lich is a proud Canadian, a lioness of the movement behind the "Freedom Convoy" protests and the target of a justice system that won't abide her anti-government beliefs. For the combined 49 days she spent in jail, first after her initial arrest during the 2022 demonstrations and again following an alleged bail breach last summer, she was in their eyes a "political prisoner." It's a title she, too, has embraced.

To the Crown, Lich is a nefarious actor who deliberately helped lead blockades that tormented residents, defied police orders, shuttered businesses and pushed the country to a state of national emergency.

so what has she actually done for Canada? from what i've gathered, she organized trucks and the humans driving them to create a nuisance, she travels regularly to speak with people, and she wrote a book about herself. what is so inspiring about this person? why is this considered as a part of Canadian history?

as a Canadian woman who works her ass off to pay rent, knowing full well that i'll never be able to afford to buy my own home, it pisses me off to see that this freedom movement fundraised 10 million dollars within days. i wonder, those assholes paying her legal bills - don't they have more important things to spend their money on? i'm here spending time contemplating whether or not i can afford $11 grapes at the supermarket and these MFs are getting their bills taken care of by their fellow supporters. fuck that.

FYI a chunk of the money for those legal bills came from Texas. Their attorney general went on record to complain that the money Texans donated wasn't getting through to the convoy. Make of that what you will.

LOL nice. i will take that to mean: some Texans like to spend money to block traffic and cause a general nuisance in Ottawa.

they tried that shit in my city and got shut down and booed outta there :D
