I'm a bit dense... What are those supposed to be? Rifles with bayonets?
Is there a significance to the number? (I think I counted 15?)
I believe they're ammunition, the artwork's shadowing just makes it look kind of odd at that angle.
They are rifle rounds. You can see the cartridge case necked down and the line where the case is crimped into the bullet.
