I've only read the first three books, actually. I should fix that.

I stopped at the fourth and I highly recommend it. Great example of how YA fantasy can be light and very political at the same time.

Premise of the book: a little girl is intentionally and deeply hurt, she is then discriminated upon because of that. How do you rationalize bad things happening to a child? And how do you deal with discrimination?

I felt it was the most realistic of the EarthSea novels, while still being quite gentle for the themes treated.

Tehanu is my favourite earthsea book. It's just fantastic.
