Honestly, even though I know what community I'm in, it still feels kinda wrong upvote something like this since it's typically used as an "I like/agree with this" button.

I totally get you there.

It's almost like there should be something in between Like and Dislike buttons, sorta like "I agree this post should be seen by others, but I dislike what I'm reading or viewing"

I know I'm late to this but I'm guessing the downvote was for a low effort contribution - this story is still all over the front pages in the UK papers at the moment, whereas I guess the implied thing on this community is finding more obscure weird stuff. Rather than news headlines.

Not that it actually matters!
