My most listened to album (open.spotify.com)

Around 30 years ago, I found a CD series called “Jazz ‘Round Midnight”. Each album featured a different jazz artist with songs they played that were apropos to the series title.

This one by Bill Evans I listened to every night when going to sleep for literally 10 years and never grew tired of it. I can’t say that about any other album or individual song.

Nice! I do often miss the days of my 120 GB iPod classic with an album collection that I had carefully curated over the course of decades. There is a lot that is convenient about the streaming era, for sure, but I feel like that set of hundreds of albums that I listened to over and over again was a really unique and personal set of music, and having a bunch of favorites on Spotify just isn't the same...

Agreed.

I don’t particularly care for streaming services either, and the reason I mentioned that app was because I use it to essentially “rip” music from Spotify, download it to a folder and then use another music player app to create custom playlists. It’s the closest option I can come to without having the actual CDs to rip from.

And the iPods were indeed great little devices that had plenty of storage and made customizing playlists easy and enjoyable. Those were the days 😉.
