So, this is fun. Foreigners' My Number cards expire with the residence card. There are only a certain number of places for renewals meaning that a new My Number card would have to be ordered and issued. I'm not sure what would happen in the gap there. It also takes up additional spots when moving as they note the new address.

As long as you renew the my number card before the expiration date, it can be done on the spot, can’t it? (they just extend the date?)

Still bothersome but there shouldn’t be a gap.

I could be wrong though.

When you renew, they add a line and stampon the card. When that fills up, you have to get a new card
