I bet there is a really interesting sociology paper about how The Simpsons shaped culture and language for Gen X and millennials

Maybe, but there are a number of books on what The Simpsons teaches us about science and mathematics, among others. I wouldn't doubt there is a paper that talks about that.

Also linguistics. The Simpsons taught me that "embiggen" is a perfectly cromulent word
