Healthcare CEO shot and killed I for one am STOKED to watch the US finally kick off the "eat the rich" portion of late stage capitalism.

[–] Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 9 points 2 weeks ago (4 children)

The last few words of that article

"touched so many lives".

He certainly did. Was reading that UHC had the highest claim denial rate in the US, something like 33%.

Oh I stopped reading the second it started to make me feel sympathy for this monster. he put profits before people. That was his job, but we should really live in a world where CEOs get paid so high because screwing over sick people is a dangerous job.

The F is the point in everyone being armed in America if they DONT pull shit like this.

I refuse to read it

There's literally nothing they can say about him, his family, or his life that will make me feel bad about his death

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 5 points 2 weeks ago

Ha ha, I've heard the killer be referred to as Healthcare Batman

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 points 2 weeks ago

The planet has tolerated these intolerant financial vampires for too long.

With banks here trying to make people pay to access their own money and supermarket fulfilment centres with terrible working conditions, it just might give people here ideas

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 5 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

the idiots thought voting for trump was about eating the rich

the idiots thought the elite/rich were the educated classes

[–] TinyBreak@aussie.zone 7 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

No but you see they are gonna shut down the deep state! And everyone is evil but the ancient incontinent incompetent neppo baby isnt for some reason? /s

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 points 2 weeks ago

I'm not sure maga actually care about that one. That deep state shit is just trump giving excuses for corruption.

The speculation and response to this murder has been intriguing. I saw a comment online speculating that if rich people instead of kids start being targets of shootings, perhaps there will finally be movement on the question of gun control.

[–] TinyBreak@aussie.zone 5 points 1 week ago

Ooooof solid call. no freakin doubt! Or is this the rise of the private military protecting folks and the start of the "protected" citizen?

[–] melbaboutown@aussie.zone 4 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

With the insane rates of denial I can’t feel too sympathetic.

[–] TinyBreak@aussie.zone 5 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

"But he had children" Big deal, the monster got laid a couple of times. Doesnt make him a saint.

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 7 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

No one physically hurt his children.

He denied actual life saving treatment to children. He's a monster.

[–] melbaboutown@aussie.zone 4 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I’m sure some of the people that died after being denied medical care had children
