[Feature Request] Please please please let me disable tap to close image (lemmy.ml)

I hate this feature with a burning passion. It makes it hard to zoom in and move around. It's slow. And when my screen dims while I read I can't wake it up without closing the image.

Please let me disable this feature in settings

I've used relay for Reddit for 10+ years and couldn't use an app without tap to close, but I agree that you should be able to choose!

Tap to close is great!

I think the issue is Connect not differencing tap vs long press; where long press would not close, and could then be used for scrolling, zooming, and screen activity to prevent screen timeout.

I've been using connect and I feel like it's only been an issue for the last 3-4 days, really making it hard to enjoy porn
