No I was talking about !politics@lemmy.world and there rule not allowing self posts, but I see where you're coming from.
Yeah I agree, a mega-thread would have been a good idea. That being said things are heated now and it could be simply because they don't want to deal with all the nasty comments that are bound to pop up. !politicaldiscussion@lemmy.world is a good alternative. It's small enough where the trolls won't bother, for the most part.
