Strange wording for a title, but the idea is not far fetched. Every animal is linked like a chain, so it’s impossible for any animal to be extinct, the thought is they live on in another chain. Mammoth extinct? Nope they are part elephant. It’s wrong but would make sense at the time when creation was the main view.
