The HOA can file all the lawsuits they wish. Anyone can! But the judge will certainly throw this out. In fact, I'm a little surprised they found an attorney willing to hang it out there and go for this. These lawyers have to work with their local judges ya know.

The reason we hear about shit like this is precisely because it's so crazy. The media doesn't report normal, day-to-day shit.

"Man Shoots Neighbor With AR-15!"

Contrast with:

"White Trash Shoots Neighbor in Trailer Park Feud!"

Or:

"Cute White Girl Gone Missing!"

Contrast with:

"3 Native American Sex Workers Missing"

I hate to get all edgy, but the Joker nailed it:

"If, tomorrow, I tell the press that, like, a gang banger will get shot, or a truckload of soldiers will be blown up, nobody panics, because it's all 'part of the plan'. But when I say that one little old mayor will die, well then everyone loses their minds!"

Learn to read the news and stifle your outrage. They wouldn't report it if it didn't outrage you.

Everyone needs food and shelter, and I’m betting that this one is fresh out of Uni with a newly-minted shingle.

I wonder if that's the case or the lawyer is apart of the HOA as in living within it
