The Leafs have no incentive to win and if anything have an incentive to not win. They're the most profitable team in the league. They sell out more tickets and merch than any other, and the Leafs fans will blindly pay more and more every year to those losers. It's a great racket, they don't ever have to win, just make it to the playoffs every few years to lose. I think if they won, they might lose their momentum after the huge party year, the way the Raptors did
