Colonialism is one hell of a drug.
USSR wasn't exactly a perfect state or even a state where justice prevails, but it wasn't colonial. There were a couple of times when it behaved like a colonial power (e.g. Czechoslovakia 1968), but in general it did what NATO does to Ukraine right now.
Russian colonialism is older than the USSR.
Can't disagree with that. But what's your point exactly?
