Mali government is reclaiming the use of the .ml domain
This is why you typically use tlds unless you live in the country that uses said domain.
On a related note since apparently lemmmy.ee ang ginagamit ng iba dito, I read that the owner of the .ee instance is an Estonian citizen and won't be experiencing the same issue.
That's also why I was hesitant in making an account. I thought it's a national/geographic instance for Estonia and Estonians.
