Changed it almost immediately, in fact.
The Dobbs decision still leaves the door open for this, as well as other horrible things.
The Gish Gallop* has gone from being a debating tactic to the entirety of the GOP platform.
*The Gish Gallop means that you throw out so many lies, half-truths and bizarre asides that your debate opponent spends all their time trying to get back to the issue at hand.

Yeah, once it's been a while since he first said it, it's not fair or relevant to hold him accountable for believing this sort of thing. That's why successful politicians always make sure to get all their racist bullshit on the record as early as possible, so that it doesn't come up when it matters later.
It's relevant today because he is running for governor
