It doesn't. We had a whole thing about it back in the 1860s
Love to see all of them thrown in jail for not recognizing a democratic president
Crazily enough the thing about it in the 1860's is why WV even exists in the first place. They split off from VA because they had no slaves and thus no reason to fight to keep them.
