you know I do wonder if, out there, all those right-wing instances that we're de-federated with are sharing this same meme but in reverse...
You'd have to find it between all the child porn
Real talk - lemmy’s mod tools blow, and the only way to combat this shit is if more people volunteer to help keep an eye on the report inbox.
So if you see a community that is struggling to address reports in a timely way, they’ll likely appreciate anyone that offers to help mod.
There are right wing Lemmy instances? Wild.. And by the sound of it, Gross.
Exploding Heads is a literal Nazi instance, defederated by pretty much everyone.
No, conservatives aren't that technologically literate. They just keep using big tech shit.
big tech needs to sell a product so its not surprising some of the people reddit has booted made a lemmu instance
Is there an article about this defederation with the people who we likely should be engaging in discourse?
Left-wing instances were defederated preemptively, as a last resort because the admins feared they would “dismantle western propaganda”. Right-wing instances were defederated after they wouldn't moderate their users posting CSAM, gore, and nazi shit.
Getting some real George Bush Jr invading Iraq energy off this phrasing.
seems like it would have been more productive to infiltrate and doxx than just to look away.
They aren't always defederated. Most users can still use conservative@lemm.ee, but most don't bother because absolutely nothing ever gets through to the conservative users of that community no matter what sources or evidence to support arguments are used. It's like talking to a brick wall. Some of the users like MomoTimetoDie are outright hostile.
It’s the same everywhere is MAGAs.
then we should 'deal' with them
