Interesting that the pay gap seems to apply to billionaires as well.

On top of that, a lot of the women are listed as "& family" which to me implies they aren't the sole owners of that wealth.

Julia Koch inherited her wealth from her husband David who died in 2019. I think most of them are in a similar situation.

I think all women on this list got their wealth through death or divorce.

Elon did inherit a bunch of money from his family in South Africa. That’s where he got his initial funding for his startups.

Oh, I thought it was saying their immediate family, as in wealth shared through marriage. I expect everyone one those lists came from some kind of generational fortune
